Individual and groups:

Prices are based on a seat. It can happen that other guests are touring with you. You can make a reservation just for your own group and rent the boat just for yourselves. Exclusive rental own group: > 21 pers. €7,25 per person, small groups 10-21 pers. €155,--.

mobi en printversie Canal tours with guide in a covered boat. The trip leads you through the small canals and under the bridges of Giethoorn, the village with no roads and a part of the nature area De Wieden.
The trip in the most tourist part of Giethoorn takes about 1 hour. This tour can be made in all seasons of the year, unless when it is freezing.

On all the trips is an educated ship captain / guide (who speakes dutch, german and english).

In the summer all windows can be opened. All the canaltourboats are heated in the cold days.

Electrical wheelchair, scootmobil, disabled or just sligthly difficult walking .......... The canal ships of 't Zwaantje are accessible to everyone ........

Canal Touring Company ´t Zwaantje has 5 canal trip boats:
If your group is too large than the maximum mentioned persons per boat, a second or even a third canalboat will make the tour at the same time.


  • With elevator: traditional canal boat with heating and elevator accessible to all kinds of electrical wheelchairs and other guests with a disability
  • With extra large wheelchair lift: traditional canalcruise boat with heating for persons confined to a wheelchair or other disability, max. 48 persons, this is the only electrical driven canaltourboat of Giethoorn
  • Gieterse canal boat: wooden oak boat with heating, cosy seats with tables and a toilet on board (max. 47 persons)
  • Open canal boat (max. 16 persons)
  • NEW 2013: luxury covered boat (max. 50 persons) with electrical motor (environmentally friendly),

Company The little swan is the only address in Giethoorn where the canaltour boat is accessible to all kinds of wheelchairs.

Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter a canal tour is made with enough participants (min. 4 persons). For groups it is neccessary to make a reserveration. To prevent disappointement (trip full, no tour because of to little amount of persons) reservation is requested for your indivudual tour.

New in 2010: the city audio guide tour. Rent the mp4-player for your visit through Giethoorn; available in English and German.
