The most environmentally friendly business of Giethoorn is CanaltouringCompany the little Swan. Allready started testing the electrical driven touringboat a few years ago, they started with the construction of a complete new and more luxury boat which will also be driven electrical. The benefits for the tourist are the lack of fuel inhalation of a traditonal gazmotor, decreasing the noise which makes the tour a lot pleasant and last bot not least of course the deduction of CO2.
Also all the small open boats are driven by electrical motor.
For the tourist who does not prefer the guided tour with the big boat but to drive the boat by himself / herself there is the possibility to rent the city tour audio guide; extra information about Giethoorn by mp4 player during the boattrip.
The svcd is suitable for every DVD player or computer.
